At Wellness Journey LLC, we do not participate with health insurance plans. This allows us to provide care with a greater level of privacy and flexibility while focusing solely on your individual needs.

When therapists bill insurance, they are generally required to provide a mental health diagnosis, develop a detailed treatment plan, and submit ongoing documentation regarding your progress in order to justify continued treatment. These records may be reviewed by insurance companies or other third parties as part of the reimbursement process.

Although we maintain confidential clinical records and document your progress as required by professional and legal standards, your information is not routinely shared with insurance companies or other third parties for payment purposes. This helps protect your privacy and allows treatment to be guided by your personal goals rather than insurance requirements.

Choosing private-pay services also means that a mental health diagnosis is not automatically submitted to an insurance company or added to your insurance claims history. However, please note that your therapist may still diagnose a mental health condition when it is clinically appropriate as part of your confidential medical record, even if that diagnosis is not shared with an insurance company.
